Halfway

I can't believe the kids are two and a half. Is that crazy or what? We are indeed in our terrible twos. Love it!! They both love to fight and throw temper tantrums. Most of them time it is not in public ( thank goodness) but there have been a few. They both have a blankie that the must have to sleep. I recently got rid of their pacifiers at night (they were only using it at night). I was scared to death because they seemed so attached. But is was not bad. I told them the birds stole their pacifiers and well, they believe me!! It was a fight every night. I would have to go in multiple times a night because Sawyer would get up and steal Danner's just to be mean. I finally got tired of fighting Danner's battles and took them right then and there.

They have their check-up on the 11th so I will be sure to post all their stats.

Danner
Danner is such the little Mommy. She likes to share her food  (only what she doesn't like) with Porter. She breaks it into tiny pieces just like I would. She loves to help and loves when I ask her to do things for me. She loves Dora and Boots. I recently got some Dora books and she will sit and read them to me. Too cute.  She likes to put on her heels and push her baby in the stroller with a pair of sunglasses on....haha. She isn't too picky with food. Some days she eats good and others she doesn't. She is shy. Doesn't like strangers or being in big crowds. She doesn't talk as much as Sawyer but says most anything in sentences. She is such a little princess and we are so lucky to have her.

Sawyer
Sawyer is our wild and crazy child. He loves to just be moving. He loves playing outside and would stay out all day if I let him. He prefers to NOT sit still. He loves all things with wheels. Cars, trains, trucks, planes....and seriously can't get enough. He still insists on getting prizes when going to the potty, but hey, if it means I don't have to clean up the floor or his pants...then I am fine with it. He will sit on the potty and call me in and say "one prize?" and hold up one finger. And as soon as I agree  he will pee. Funny or manipulative?? He likes chocolate milk and ask for it all the time. He can really speak in paragraphs now and can carry on decent conversation. However you may have to listen close because it is definitely 2 year old talk.

I can't believe it has been 2 and a half years since my babies were born. I am so lucky to have such happy and healthy kids. I remember the 5 long months of bedrest....the worry.....the concern....the fear!! And now look at my thriving 2 year olds. They are the greatest thing ever and I wouldn't change a thing!!!

Crazy the difference 2 years can make.....

Have I mentioned how much I love these kids????

  1. What sweet babies! The more I have been reading your blog the more I hope DH and I have twins. Your situation with a boy and girl is perfect.

The only thing that scares me is others trying to compare them to one another. Have you come across this problem?
