Big brother....

Did I mention that Gunner is now a big brother? We adopted a 5 month old Jack Russell for Gunner to play with! He is so sweet and laid back.

Happy Halloween!!

The kids had a blast picking out pumpkins and trick or treating. We made it halfway around the block before they got bored and were ready to come home and eat candy!! I think they like seeing the kids come to the door more! Needless to say they slept good last night!

And sometimes they even get along....

Rarely.... But it does happen!!!!

More catching up

Some more pics to get you up to date....

Catch up....

It may take me a while to catch up on all that has been going on in life!! We are staying busy....really busy! But we did some fun things this summer that I haven't mentioned on the blog. I have been slack and haven't been able to blog as much. So here are a few pics to catch you up.

We took a trip to Ohio to visit family. The kids LOVE LOVE LOVE their cousins. That is all they talk about and can't wait to visit them again soon.
Jesse has become the master chef on the grill. I seriously hardly ever cook anymore. It is awesome.
 More family from Ohio....
While we were there they played in the lake. Sawyer even jumped off the diving board. He also really loved fishing.
They started back to school. Danner loves going to school now. She was happy to go.
Sawyer likes school this year too. They are going 5 days......3 hours a day. They are learning ALOT!!

I have also been spending alot of time at home preparing them for next years "real school". We are learning to read......and practicing our handwriting too. I work with them for about an hour each after they get home from school. They actually ask to do their work now so it is something they look forward to each day. And I think they will be reading pretty fluently soon. AT least I hope. They are learning to sound out words now and can read quite a few on their own.

This big guy can ride a bike without training wheels. He is pretty awesome  at it. It took him a few days and he just took off. Danner isn't quite as brave as Sawyer yet.
We sold Jesse's car and he got a new one. I think I must be an awesome craigslist seller. I posted it and sold it the next day. And the guy was from another state. Didn't come see it...never test drove it or anything. He just sent a truck to pick it up. Seemed sketchy but we got paid so who knows?!!

Ok...time to pick up kiddos from school. I have some more posts coming soon.

T-Ball

And we are playing t-ball now. And by we I mean Sawyer. He is actually really enjoying it. He has a couple friends on his team so he really likes to play with them. He doesn't really "get" how the game is played but it is hilarious for the parents to watch. Tuesday at his game he got the ball and the coach told him to run home with it. Sawyer dropped the ball and ran for home! Meanwhile the other team scored! Ha. Then when he was running the bases the other team hit them ball and he left the base to go chase it. Cracked me up! So I can't say that we have the next baseball star , but we are having fun!

And being this busy keeping my kids happy and entertained is my excuse for slacking on the blog!! Sorry!

Sawyer is in the red shirt!

Tennis pros

I started the twins in tennis lessons. Sawyer really wanted to play and I decided to put Danner in to have a pal to play with. I know nothing about tennis so I really couldn't help him learn. Sawyer is awesome at tennis. Poor Danner has no hand eye coordination. But they both had fun trying!

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to Mimi. She is celebrating her 55th birthday in heaven. We love and miss you!!

Going to the Chapel

and she wants to get married......to her daddy, of course. And when I explained that she could not marry her daddy......she decided to settle for Sawyer. Well? We decided to worry about that one when she is older!!

This is my wedding dress if you were wondering. It has been sitting in the top of my closet for 7 years. And she asked to see it the other day. I pulled it down and tried it on. Then I tried it on Danner. She posed and smiled and twirled. And then?? Then she pouted......because it was way too big and she has nothing to wear to her wedding.

Don't worry, sweet girl. We have time to work on that!!

Santa

Yep...I said Santa. While in the mountains we visited an amusement park called Santaland. It was pretty cute and pricey and I would have preferred to pass by but the kids saw it and were dying to go. So we took them. They visited with Santa and told them what they wanted for Christmas. They had a small zoo and a few small rides.

Riding some reindeer

They are slightly disappointed that Santa hasn't made an appearance at our house!

None of them were slightly afraid of Santa

Danner said the goats were her favorite

Jesse feeding the reindeer

First roller coaster ride. They are all in there but Jesse was nervous they will fly out.

Waiting on Santa's train

Train ride

Sawyer had to get in the pouch

future Santa in training...
