Masters

Does this guy look familar? Well he won the Masters last weekend.

I watched some of it on tv Sunday. Wish I could give you some details about it....I know nothing about golf. I just don't get it. But I do know this guy was one of the better looking guys, right? Jesse tried to explain scores and pars and whatever else. I think it was a close game match round oh whatever its called.

Anywho....these 2 guys (Jesse and BJ) went down to Augusta earlier in the week for the practice rounds and took about a billion pictures of random golf things. And boy was he so proud of the fact that he had pictures of the winner....which at the time they thought was a big nobody. Ha.

I was stuck at home with 3 kids.....and Katie and Brycen stuck around to hang out. So we had some fun.

Ok....that post was for Jesse. Not sure if any of you really care....Ha

Obsession

Oh this guy....this sweet, sweet boy. He has an obsession with toliets....not trucks, cars, guns..... Which totally makes my stomach churn. I have to make sure that the bathroom doors are closed....AT ALL TIMES. One slip and it ends in disasters like this.....
Good news is I ALWAYS close the bathroom door. Bad news is the twins DO NOT. So last night after dinner Danner had gone to the bathroom and apparently forgot to close the door. I peeked around the corner and the door was closed.....good. Then I heard a splash, splash and giggles. My heart dropped....NO. I ran to the bathroom to find Porter with both feet in the toliet (don't worry he had shoes on- ha). Yuck. He snuck in the bathroom and closed the door. The sneaky dude.  Notice all the toliet paper had been pulled off the roll. He loves pulling toliet paper off the roll. I guess it could have been worse. At least his head wasn't in there....

Happy Birthday Danner and Sawyer

April 3rd has come and gone.....again. This year my babes turned three. Crazy to think about. It is even crazier to think back to where I was on April 3rd three years ago. I am amazed at how far my little preemies have come.

Danner was born weighing a whopping 4 lbs 9 oz. She is now 25 lbs.
Sawyer was born weighing 5lbs 2 oz. He now tops the scale at 30lb.
What a difference. Right?

Danner is a few days old here.....with ivs, chest tube, and oxygen. I don't have their actual birthday pics saved on this computer.

Sawyer a few days old....trying his first bottle.

Sawyer right after his first birthday

 Danner after her first birthday.
Danner and Sawyer on their 2nd birthday.
Danner on her third birthday.

Sawyer on his third birthday....with black lips from Mickey cookies.

These 2 are the funniest little people you will ever meet. They are in absolute love with each other and it is so adorable. They hug and kiss, sing to each other, talk non-stop, make each other laugh.....from the second they wake up until they fall asleep. They share a bond so special...that even their own mother can't compete with. They have their moments of fighting, hitting, biting, scratching, pushing, shoving.....but it is short lived. I hope these two will always be the best of friends and be there for each other, stick up for one another, and love one another as much as they do today.

Happy Birthday kiddos. We love you to the moon and back!!

Wow

Boy am I behind. We have had tons going on this past week. So I have quite a few posts to get to.....including......the twins turning THREE. I took a much needed bloggy break to spend lots of time with my big kids and made sure they had a fabulous birthday weekend.

But first.....Sweet Porter...being not quite so sweet. I had just finished baking for the twins birthday party. Cleaned and mopped the kitchen. And just in time for THIS...................

I may have left a bag of powdered sugar on the countertop just in the reach of some small dude. Who may have pulled the opened bag right on top of himself.
And then he may have decided to play with it, taste it, build sand sugar castles, make snow sugar angels.....etc
And just as I was about to snatch him up and throw him in the shower....this sweet lil angel may have jumped up and ran.....really fast.....spreading sugar footprints and handprints ALL over my house. There are no pictures of that because I might have been running after him and yelling ....just a little bit. Oh for the love of God....the mess.....

Heart

So Monday I had a follow-up appointment with my family doctor for a monster uti I had. Good news is it is gone....bad news is I left with more problems than I came in with. Ha....is that my typical luck?

I was having some dizziness which I had associated with either my low blood sugar or the medicine I was taking for the uti. Nope...after an EKG, some blood pressure tests, and a whole lot of blood work I was referred to a cardiologist. Not quite sure what he thinks the problem is but I have REALLY low blood pressure and a family history of heart problems. So now I am off to the cardiologist. My appointment isn't until April 19th so hopefully I am not dying between now and then. They apparently were in no rush to fit me in. For the most part my blood work came back normal. I did have low levels of vitamin d so I have started a prescription for that.

So say a prayer for my heart.....let's hope I didn't inherit the family heart issues. Hello heart?? I have 3 kids to take care of so behave in there!! Thanks!

Say Ahhhh

Yesterday I bit the bullet and finally took the twins to the dentist....all. by. myself. I have had this scheduled for two months now and have been dreading ever since I scheduled it. I hate going to the dentist. I think it is uncomfortable and pure torture to sit with your mouth wide open for 30 minutes. Blech. But I didn't want this feeling to rub off on the kids so I talked it up like we were about to go to a party. Yea, I know, I am sneaky like that.

Really the worst part was waiting in the waiting room. It is a pediatric dentist so there were toys and books to play with BUT there were also things to get into. And I had to fill out a ton of paperwork X 2 and chase down the kids and take them to the potty TWICE and did I mention chase the kids?! So I was a bit relieved when we finally got called back. AMEN...lock us in a room so they can't escape.

Sawyer went first and sat right in the chair. They have a tv on the ceiling to entertain them. He opened up and let the lady count his teeth and stuck out his tongue. All his teeth are in. He has no crowding in there. Yay.

Danner was an even better patient. She sat in the chair, wore sunglasses to block the bright light, and opened wide. She has all her teeth and everything looked great.

In 6 months they will attempt a cleaning. They got t-shirts, new toothbrushes, kids floss, and a prize from the treasure chest. They even smiled for their camera and got a postcard with a souvenir picture. And lo-and-behold .....a compliment on their great behavior for their age.  Really? My kids got a A+ for behavior. Ha.....they need to come home with me, huh?

So all-in-all.....SUCCESS......sigh....
